Update killed Texmod Cartography?
Has anyone been able to get the Cartography Made Easy package to work since the update? It refuses to work for me right now, I even tried redownloading everything, ect.
Because, im starting to suspect that Anet targeted this somehow with the update, because Im hearing other Texmod stuff works just fine
But, something could just be wrong on my end, so, yeh, is it working for anyone else right now?

I just loaded the version I have, which I dled in 2009 it seems and it worked fine.
Did you make sure GW was totally unloaded from memory before starting txtmod and launching it that way?

Unloaded from memory? I made sure the program was off before launching it with texmod

Im wondering if updating my Nvidia drivers or DirectX did this to me, because thats about the only other significant thing I have done since I last used Texmod.
Which, if its true, is a bit of a pain, reinstalling obsolete drivers to use Texmod... ick.
Update: I used a different Texmod TPF and it works just fine, so, the issue is with this Cart Package then.

i would go honestly w/ dzjudz and restart your computer. about 3 weeks ago i had a problem w/ textmod and i hadnt done anyhting w/ my computer for like 2weeks.
i tried reinstalling, and creating new pathways and such and nothing worked. then i got mad shut my computer down, came bk like a hour later and i tried loading textmod and it worked.
idk why it suddenly started working again but shutting my computer down and rebooting it like normal helped. that's what id suggest.

Odd, the individual Tyria Cartography package works, but the complete mod wont.....
Reboot didnt change anything, the complete cart mod still refuses to work.
Ah well, I can just run the individuals I suppose

Do the following:
1) If you use GW Multi Launch and have not ran an alt copy of GW.exe with texmod since the update, copy the alt GW.exe and paste (overwrite) over the GW.exe that you want to use with texmod. Otherwise, download the client from the official site and use that GW.exe to copy using the above instructions.
2) Open your main GW.exe (the "new" one that you duplicated) either in Windows or with Multi Launch without opening it in texmod. It should update the GW.dat file.
3) Repeat the previous step to ensure everything is working, it should not update this time.
4) Close and reopen (if already open) Texmod, and run your main GW.exe. It should work now =)
To prevent this from happening to you on future updates, check the wiki to see if there has been an update. Simply run GW.exe from Windows/Multi Launch without texmod first so it updates, then close and re-run in Texmod.

If found that I couldn't run Texmod too, not sure exactly when. The problem was the .exe and the only way around this problem that I found was copying the gw.exe from my second installation I use with GW Multi Loader to the main installation and overwrite that .exe . The game will quickly update and it'll be working again but every now and then I have to repeat this step because something keeps making it unusable.

This happens every damned update. I really wish people would learn....
1. After updating GW restarts itself -- outside of texmod. You must totally exit GW and restart it for texmod to work.
2. Texmod will NOT work if it's trying to modify a texture that you haven't downloaded yet. This happens when a-net changes the texture for something in an update. -image your .dat.

Actually Chthon, this is more than the usual update problems. My original package failed to work as well, but other mods did work. However, a downloaded copy from the wiki worked just fine. A guildmate's copy worked with no problems at all. Using -image had nothing to do with it, since I always -image after an update. If the problem were more widespread, I'd look at rebuilding the mod package, but since it seems to be an intermittent issue, I'm not sure if that would work.

I thought the same thing but it still works (I used it last night after the 2nd update also made it stop working).
Restart both texmod and client after update.
Also, if you're using GuildWars Multi-Launch, make sure your most recent launch is the same instance of GW that texmod calls (for example, if you run a second copy most recently, then when you use tex-mod, it will load the 2nd copies gw.dat file.) I don't know why or if this matters, but relaunching the primary gw.exe from multilaunch after the update, then quitting and reloading it with texmod worked for me.

I've had problems with the complete collection as well. The individual continent packages have always worked after following the usual method of imaging after every update. It's easier to plug all 3 continents into a script to auto-load in TexMod than trying to troubleshoot the complete collection every time.

Reason: Unsure what causes the problem.

In that case, I have no fix. If one mod package is having trouble, but not others, that would imply that a-net changed the dimensions or gridding on one of the modified textures. Figuring out which one will be a pain.

The complete collection has been pulled from the wiki until the problem can be tracked down and repaired. Since the individual maps still work, they will have to do until then.
